First and foremost, thank you to all of you who came out and supported us this weekend at St. Marcus — it was a tremendous evening. This has been one of our most challenging seasons yet in terms of scheduling and repertoire, but the payoff was absolutely worth it, and the support we received was, as always, incredible. We had many people come up to us to say the choir just keeps getting better, but from our perspective, so do the audiences!
As we put the Fall 2017 season to rest, we are looking ahead to the spring. The theme of the concert is The Four Loves, a concert based on the four Greek concepts of love (Friendship, Affection, Erotic Love and Charity) as philosophically examined by C.S. Lewis’s book of the same name. Music for the season will explore these varying concepts of love.
We will have one night of auditions, for anyone interested in joining us for the spring. Auditions will take place on Wednesday, January 3 beginning at 6 PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 631 N. 19th St. in Milwaukee. This is also where we rehearse.
If you wish to audition, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can get you signed up for a time slot that evening. Our next round of auditions after this will be in August, as usual, in advance of our 2018-2019 season.
So if you have been looking for a choral home in Milwaukee, here’s your next chance to join Chant Claire! We hope to see you at auditions.
