Good news from us at Chant Claire: we’ve got a location, date and time all set for our December concert!
The concert will take place at 7 PM on Saturday, December 13th at the Irish Cultural Heritage Center, pictured below. Here is the ICHC’s website: www.ichc.net.
Not only will we be able to make use of the ICHC’s gorgeous space (and their organ for a couple of our pieces), but we also have a new addition that our concert attendees are sure to enjoy. The ICHC will have a full bar operational before the concert begins, during our intermission and after the concert is over. This will add an extra bit of fun to our usual post-concert reception festivities.
Here is some of the music that we are currently working on for this fall. You can expect to hear most, if not all of it, on the concert. We will also likely be adding a couple more Christmas-themed tunes, and if you’re planning on coming, you might want to consider warming your voice up yourself to help us ring in the holiday season!
ERIC BARNUM: “Adoramus Te, Christe”
ANTON BRUCKNER: “Os Justi”
GREAT BIG SEA, ARR BENJAMIN BEDROSKE: “The River Driver”
OLA GJEILO: “Dark Night of the Soul”
THOMAS GREAVES: “Come Away Sweet Love”
MOSES HOGAN: “I Can Tell the World”
GUSTAV HOLST: “Psalm 86” and “Psalm 148”
LOWELL MASON, ARR JAMES STEVENS: “Nearer My God to Thee”
STEVAN ST. MOKRANJAC: “Tebe Pojem”
THE WAILIN’ JENNYS: “The Parting Glass” and “One Voice”
We hope that you will join us for our winter concert! Plenty more information and a Facebook event to come soon.
