We wanted to provide you with a heads up that the location of our concert on May 5 has changed. Due to a scheduling conflict, the performance will no longer be at St. Sebastian, but we look forward to singing there again in the future. Instead, the performance will now be at Divine Mercy Parish in the city of South Milwaukee at 800 Marquette Avenue.
Divine Mercy is a large Catholic church with the perfect acoustic for the wide range of genres we will be exploring in this upcoming concert. We are grateful to everyone at Divine Mercy for welcoming us on such short notice, and are looking forward to connecting with a brand new audience in South Milwaukee.
Interested in what we’ll be performing? Here are just a few examples of what you can expect.
- “Ubi Caritas” by Paul Mealor
- “The Road Home” by Stephen Paulus
- “Set Me As a Seal” by Rene Clausen
- “Cindy” by Mack Willberg
- “Greater Love Hath No Man” by John Ireland
And much more — another dozen or so selections, all revolving around the theme of Love.
Our theme, The Four Loves, is based on C.S. Lewis’s book of the same name, in which he investigates the nature of love from both a Christian and philosophical perspective. The four loves are based on four Greek words for different kinds of love: Storge (affection or empathetic bond), Philia (friendship), Eros (passion or erotic bond) and Agape (Godly or self-sacrificial love).
So update the appointment on your calendar for DIVINE MERCY PARISH on May 5, and we will see you there!
